One of my most popular images. I try not to be easily taken by a sunset but this one in October up in the Outer Hebrides was so intense I couldn't resist. There had been fierce gales in the days preceding this evening, my tent was blown inside-out and I'd retreated to my van for sleep. Then a wonderful calm befell the Island and we were treated to this deep, intense sunset. Through the gap, past Toe Head and Taransay is the open Atlantic Ocean.
